#### Overview

**Ashton\_GrainBin** is a MeshCore repeater located at **JockBrae Farm in Ashton, Ontario**, installed on the farm's grain elevator.

The elevated site provides a good vantage point for coverage through the Ashton, Beckwith and surrounding western Ottawa / eastern Lanark County area.

#### Installation

The repeater antenna is mounted approximately **134 ft (41 m) above ground** on the JockBrae Farm grain elevator.

The grain elevator provides an excellent existing structure for getting the antenna well above the surrounding terrain without requiring a dedicated communications tower.

The repeater is located in **Ashton, Ontario**, within the Beckwith-area group of Ottawa MeshCore repeaters.

#### Sister installation

A sister installation is located at my sister's JockBrae location on Fallowfield Road in Ottawa.

Together, the two JockBrae installations provide elevated sites on opposite sides of the western Ottawa / Beckwith area and form part of the growing Ottawa MeshCore infrastructure.
